Nix Out Of The Box

Nix Minus One is now officially “out” – the publication date was February 15. And a high point last week was the arrival in a big cardboard box of my copies of the hardcover version of Nix.
Hardcover. A first for me. And such an exciting first – the book is really beautiful.

Thank you, Pajama Press!

The link below is to an interview that I did with Open Book Toronto, posted online February 13. Thanks to my wonderful publicist, Erin Woods, for arranging this.

The interview is part of their series The Dirty Dozen, in which writers are asked to share twelve unexpected facts about themselves. I had a lot of fun with it…and I had to stop and think about what I did – and didn’t! – want to include.

I hope you’ll find it fun to read.

Kathleen Martin Interview: The Always Surprising Jill MacLean

The Always Surprising Jill MacLean
Today I received my copy of the Fall issue of Canadian Children’s booknews (Vol. 34, No. 4).

Some time ago, Kathleen Martin (who used to be the Atlantic provinces representative for the Canadian Children’s Book Centre) interviewed me; and the interview appears in this issue, entitled “The Always Surprising Jill MacLean.”

I’m so happy with everything she said. Actually, I’m basking in it! Again, thank you, Kathleen.

“The Canadian Children’s Book Centre is a great organization. Membership brings many benefits, and their magazine will keep you up to date on the world of kidlit.” – Kathleen Martin
