    Well deserved review!

    Hi Jill
I loved the character of Brick in Home Truths as a high school teacher I have witnessed how some children are bullied. I thought you caught the feelings of a bullied victim very well.It was nice to see that Docker provided a good role model.
I am book talking your book this week and I noticed you and Stuart Maclean are related. I have heard him speak many times. What relation is he to you? Brother or husband? Glad he encourages you to write as well.
    Thanks.

    • Dear Naomi,
I’m so glad you liked Brick. it was a risk writing about a bully from his point of view, and starting the book with him bullying…but I was so pulled to write his story. And yes, Docker was a favourite of mine.
Thanks for book talking my book! No, Stuart is my grandson, now 16. He’s the one who early in 2004 asked me to write him a book, and started me on a whole new venture. Amazing how life can change because of a request that at the time sounded fairly straightforward!
I’m sorry I’ve taken this long to reply – yes, I’m a terrible blogger. But I’ve had my head buried in my fourth book, and am only now surfacing. Goodness, it’s spring. How did that happen.
Take care, and thanks again for the support.
      Jill
