Three more Canada Council readings, the first in the same public library in Dutton; but it was raining, so the kids were wet and then had to sit on the floor. In consequence, the second and third readings are shifted from public libraries back to school libraries – much better than having a whole group of kids come down with colds!
Three of us have a delightful lunch at a little place near Aylmer called Pinecroft, set in the woods. Trilliums in bloom. Still raining.
Straffordville Public School is celebrating Grandparents’ Day, so I have three grandmothers in attendance as I tell the story of how I wrote Nine Livesat the request of my grandson.
The students at Springfield Public School are hugely enthusiastic, particularly since it was the last class of the day for them. So many questions that we go into overtime. A fine way to end the day.
