Another author and her husband happened to live within five minutes of where I was staying, so I was lucky enough to get a drive to Uxbridge with them. No getting lost in Union Station!
Rolling farm land, so green and fresh.
At the school in Uxbridge, they’ve bussed in 500 kids. An incredibly good lunch. Noise. Lots of noise. And so much enthusiasm for reading – I love these gatherings where I meet kids who’ve actually read the book. Thanks to my hosts and all the organizers!
The photo is of me with Shelley, of Blue Heron Books. What would we writers do without booksellers? Thanks, Shelley.
