My publisher sent me the review of “The Nine Lives of Travis Keating” that appeared in the School Library Journal in the United States. Apparently this is the journal that school librarians use all over the US. Here are some quotes from the review: “Travis is likable and sympathetic…a boy of imagination, courage, and empathy. This is a solid piece of contemporary fiction with an interesting story. It should have broad appeal.” Yay!
The book also got a very positive review from The Canadian Children’s Book News, Winter 2009. One sentence that struck me: “This beautifully written story left me wanting more.” I’m working hard editing the second book, which is about Prinny. And I have lots of ideas for a book about Hud. So let’s hope this all comes about.
