Silver Birch Award Nominee

I found out today that The Present Tense of Prinny Murphy is nominated for the Silver Birch Award for 2011 – in the spring of this year, The Nine Lives of Travis Keating was chosen as one of the three honour books for the Silver Birch.

I’m very happy that Prinny is on next year’s list, and that her book will be in so many Ontario schools.

Interview with CM Magazine

Today I travelled downtown and did a two-hour interview with Dave Jenkinson, who is the editor of CM Magazine, out of the University of Manitoba.

It publishes online reviews of children’s books published in Canada, and has online profiles of authors.

It was a great interview. I hope the profile will be posted by the end of the year. You can check out all the profiles by at CM Magazine Profiles.
